My name is Ryan, and I am trying to get my skin surgery covered by medical in Canada(B.C. specifically). I have lost 210lbs and I am getting stonewalled by the government. The skin actually causes me back problems, and limits the physical activities I can do. My doctor has said it is medically necessary but no one will listen. The picture above links to a YouTube video I have made in hopes to get attention by a government official. If it does not I am hoping it will generate enough interest so I can submit my case again and show a large view count. I am really sorry for making this a link but the only way I can get hits for this as tumblr does not count towards views on YouTube.
I never ask this of any of my followers, but if you can re-blog this it would help me tremendously and possibly others in my situation as well.
A big thank you to those who’ve stuck by me through thick and
thin thicker, I’m currently unwell, I won’t bore you with symptoms, but I’m in pain, lots of pain. Weighing in tomorrow so will update you when I get the chance. Im on an early shift, hopefully, depending on what my body decides.

You’re now stocked on veggies and fruits but… how long will they last?
In addition to storing your fruits and veggies properly, it’s good to know approximately how long the fresh stuff will last. Plan your trip to the grocery or farmer’s market accordingly so that your foods are at the peak of freshness when you plan to prepare them, and you’re not throwing away food that’s gone bad before you get a chance to use it!
- Green beans
- Brussels sprouts
- Hard Squash

So I weighed this morning, a morning late, but when I leave at 5 for work on Wednesday mornings, I really dont feel like getting on the scales, Id be lucky if Im awake enough to get my pants on the right way round
Last weigh in: 222.8lbs
This weigh in: 217.4lbs
Weight loss: 5.4lbs
Pretty pleased with that, my mum says she can see it, and after such a long plateau before, its nice to lose a chunk, Im aiming for a healthy 2lb loss a week, I lost quite a lot quite quickly in the beginning and now I have a slightly sagging skin tummy, so Im trying to reduce that by giving it time to readjust itself, I think its got better, and I want to start going to the gym to tone up. Also doing the squat challenge in February, I was just beginning to get a small C shaped but when I sprained my ankle and it went back to being flat. So in feb Ill be working on my butt.
New goal: if I get to or below 200 by the time my next bursary comes in at the end of feb, or my birthday 5th march, Im getting my hair done!

I went to the library today (my only day off till Saturday, I’m mad) hence my absence! I weighed Thursday and results are in.
Last Weigh in: 224.2lbs
This Weigh in: 222.8lbs
Loss of: 2.4lbs
I’m pretty pleased with that, I’ve been wearing my pedometer on placement and some days it’s 11,000 odd steps, others its 8,000 odd, depends how busy it is. That’s just while I’m at placement, not to or from, or while I’m at home.
When I was returning home yesterday, I stopped in a supermarket to get some groceries; on the way there were two girls handing out leaflets “free day at the gym” I heard them say so I took one, the one I took it from then turned to the other and went “whoa”. This really bugged me, is it really that suprising an obese person wants to go to a gym and lose weight? It really put me off.
So I’m going to go, and see if I can find her and then use her as a weight to bench press with, because I could without breaking a sweat.
As that gym is on the way to and from work, it’ll be easier to go to instead of the one nearest me.
We’ve got about 4/5 inches of snow here, walking in it is a workout in itself! Luckily I’m a sensible English person who wears the right shoes and I have tracks to put on them making it easier. People nock us for not being able to hack it when other countries have no problem, we get it 2 weeks a year, if that! Our only defence is salt or the odd snow plow for main motorways, so back off. Compared to other years we’ve done pretty well, crashes happen all year and its because idiots can’t drive, not because of snow.
